About the author
LUDOVICO FERRO
Screenplay and direction
Ph.D. in sociology, he teaches Cultural and Communication Processes at the University of Padua. Author of over 30 publications, more than half are books.
He has been studying film and film festivals from a sociological perspective since 2002. He designed and has been the director (since 2020) of the collateral award of Venice International Film Festival “Persona, Lavoro, Ambiente”.
Since 2019, he has been experimenting the use of artistic languages (cinema and theater) to disseminate the results of his research. In the cinematographic field, he is both producer and author (writing and directing).
The Interview at Sea (documentary feature, 2023), for which he is also screenwriter, composer and producer, is his directorial debut.
Agrilavoro Edizioni s.r.l. is the publishing and production company of FAI CISL. In addition to its traditional publishing activity, with a large catalogue of scientific essays, for some years it has started producing in the theater and cinema on the themes of work, agri-food and the environment.
Fondazione Fai Cisl Studi e Ricerche has the primary purpose of promoting, in Italy and abroad, study, research and cultural enterprises related to problems in agriculture, the environment and health, the agri-food system and agro-industry as well as work activities, new professional skills and technological evolutions. It is active in the promotion and production of documentaries and more recently has expanded its action in the artistic field with the production of theatrical performances and docufilms.
Fai (Federazione Agricola Alimentare Ambientale Industriale Italiana) was born in 1997 from the merger between Fat (food industry) and Fisba (salary workers and agricultural labourers) and represents about 200,000 workers in agriculture and related activities, in the food industry, forestry, fishing and reclamation.
