The Interview at Sea returns to America to represent Italian cinema
Here we are again with news that we just couldn’t keep hidden any longer. With the publication of the program of the Los Angeles Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival we can finally also announce our selection in what is perhaps the most important U.S. festival dedicated to Italian cinema.
So The Interview at Sea returns to the United States, and after our two appearances in New York (announcements here, and full reports will also finally arrive shortly) we move to the West Coast to arrive in the city that most symbolizes American and Western cinema.
But to the United States this time we come as ambassadors of Italian cinema. The Los Angeles Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival has for twenty years now been the main event through which the best of Italian cinema is presented to the American public.
To understand the size and scope of such a festival it is enough to consider that Rai is its promoter, the Intesa San Paolo group is its main sponsor and there is no lack of sponsorship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy and the Ministry of Tourism.
At the Los Angeles Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival a selection of films arrives every year, starting with the most important mainstream productions and ending with independent cinema. The task of The Interview at Sea is then to represent Italian documentaries of social and experimental nature. A great honor and certainly also a great responsibility.
In addition to the events that will take place from Feb. 23 to March 1 at the striking Chinese Theatres (here is the schedule of events), the festival also takes place with scheduled, geo-localized streaming screenings in the United States (here is the schedule).
The Interview at Sea will have its turn on Feb. 27 at 7:45 p.m. and then online from 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 28, 2025 (U.S. streaming link here).
Our film is participating in competition in the “Docu is Beautiful” section.
