The Interview at Sea, awarded at the Cefalù Film Festival and available until Dec. 15 for streaming on MyMovies

At the end of October we had already declared the huge delay in reporting and narrating experiences at the festivals. We had hoped to rush through all the backlog during November and instead so many things that we have experienced and are experiencing have continued to happen, but which we have so far managed to narrate with difficulty. So the reports of no less than 7 festivals we attended from September to December and the two special screenings in September are all missing, but for now we have to prioritize the most important information about what is happening right now on the reports.

It is Saturday’s, Dec. 7, news that the Cefalù Film Festival decided to give The Interview at Sea the Focus (Film, Originality, Culture, Uniqueness, Stories) Award.

This is an award

“…for the originality and ability to tell meaningful stories. The Interview at Sea was selected for its extraordinary fusion of documentary and fiction, offering a thoughtful insight into the difficulties and hopes of the fishing world, a dying industry. The film was appreciated for its innovative approach, combining the social dimension with the emotional power of storytelling.”

You can read the full reasons for the award in the festival’s press release here.

Of course, there is great satisfaction, especially because the jury grasped the element of originality and the ultimate and profound intention of our film.

We had already talked about the Cefalù Film Festival (here is the link to the website) and its many activities throughout the year in an earlier article where we anticipated a few things including The Interview at Sea‘s change of status from “selected” to “nominated” for an award that has now officially arrived.

We had also announced the likely availability of our film on the most important Italian art-house and art-house cinema platform. And this has also come true!

From December 8 and until Sunday, December 15, The Interview at Sea will be visible in streaming on MyMovies ONE.

It is worthwhile, for those unfamiliar with the platform, to consider a quarterly subscription at 6 euros or an annual one at 24 euros, since the catalog is very large and of high quality, and especially since major national festivals choose MyMovies for the online part of their events. Suffice it to say that even the Venice Film Festival is present and the Cefalù Film Festival on the homepage is right next to the oldest and most prestigious festival in the world, where we, as we said, are truly at home.

Thus, here is MyMovies’ home page.

Here is the link to the Cefalù film festival channel, with all 37 films available for streaming.

And finally here is the direct link for viewing The Interview at Sea.

The platform is linked to and interacts with the extensive MyMovies portal that collects all the production and distribution information on all the Italian and international films made and relies on the contribution of user reviews.

On our film’s page you can both vote and leave your own comment and review.

So enjoy your viewing!

We will have to come back on the Cefalù Film Festival because the news is actually not finished at all…
