In Venice on September 6 in the event that gave birth to the production activity of AgriLavoro and Fondazione Fai Cisl Studi e Ricerche
We have modestly kept it hidden as long as possible. But now it is official. The theatrical distribution phase with special screenings begins for The Interview at Sea. We have alluded to it (one of its very special screenings!) several times in other articles. We will also be there in the world’s oldest and most important festival.
Let us make it clear right away that we are in no way among the films selected by the festival. We decided that our film had to make its own festival journey before landing in Venice where it is much more at home than one might imagine.
The director of The Interview at Sea Ludovico Ferro (a Venetian and lifelong festival scholar) is also the creator and jury president of the Fondazione Fai, Persona, Lavoro, Ambiente award. This is an official collateral prize of the film festival, which is in its fifth edition this year.
The award jury selects and awards the best films featured at the Venice Film Festival that deal with the themes of work and the environment.
The final event of the award has always been characterized as also being an opportunity to present at the Vernice Production Brige (the production and market section of the Venice Film Festival) the productions and co-productions of Agrilavoro and Fai Cisl.
The Interview at Sea therefore necessarily had to pass through here. But, as mentioned, the world premiere in Venice was not sought (as well as it would have already been possible last year). We preferred to take a risk and let the film go its own way. As we have been recounting in recent months, it has done very well with many selections and award nominations allowing The Interview at Sea to arrive in Venice with its own respectable palmares.
So the appointment is for September 6 from 11 a.m. at the Venice Production Bridge’s Spazio Incontri (third floor of the Excelsior hotel in the Venice Lido) for the awards ceremony and the presentation and screening of The Interview at Sea.
Here is the event and film fact sheet with full details on how to attend.
